I can’t deny that I have a bit of a thing for Justin Timberlake. I like to think that “Bring it on down to Omeletteville” and his snarky portrayal of Napster founder Sean Parker in Social Network make up for his poor choice of tech start-up investments. And it’s been entirely too long since his last album.
Enter: “Suit & Tie.”

Apparently, the world of music videos has changed a bit in the last oh, I dunno, 10 years since I actually legitimately watched a real music video. Justin Timberlake’s new album, The 20/20 Experience, comes out next month and “Suit and Tie” is the first single to be released. There was a teaser video and then an “official lyric” video and this morning (just in time for Valentine’s Day, you handsome devil!) he released the “official” (“official” official?) video, directed by David Fincher.
And the more I listen to this song and the more I watch both the official lyric and official official videos, the more I like this song. Oh, and the more I like Justin Timberlake, natch.

Funny, I heard this song today on my way to work and was thinking about what a lovely man JT has grown into. I wasn’t a fan of teenage, “NSYNC” JT but now…. oh my….. funny and hot!
You know, I’m the same way. I wasn’t exactly a big N’Sync fan – in fact, I forget 9 times out of 10 that he was even IN that group! It’s kind of crazy to realize that he’s my age. G-ddamn, he’s delicious looking.

I hadn’t heard this song before watching the video and I have to say, I laughed out loud when I read Jen’s comment, because this JT was not at all what I remembered him to look like. (Ok, I couldn’t have told you he was a part of NSYNC….but…) But in this video he wasn’t what I was expecting. Very nice!
